The inquisitive are welcome to lively discussion at our provocative book studies, scriptural inquiry and experiential learning for the sacred seasons. Our children enjoy new ways of hearing God's stories.

Children’s Programs at St. Paul's

At St. Paul’s we cherish our children.  They are active in our worship services, and they have their own classes, activities and mission projects.

Sunday School Classes

Christian education is offered beginning at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday, an hour before our regular worship.

  • Ages 3-9 - explores Bible stories through Beulah Land curriculum (teacher:  the Rev. Barbara Bond)

Mission Projects

  • Visiting shut-In Parishioners - The children make seasonal cards and hand-deliver them to our home-bound parishioners. (see photo, right)
  • Heifer International - The children co-sponsor a bake and craft sale on St. Nicholas Day (Dec. 5 this year) to benefit Heifer International.
  • "Witness" Program - new projects will be developed through this program.

Acolyte Training

Five of our children have received acolyte training and serve reverently and regularly at the altar.

Our children are natural hams! Each year they present a skit on St. Nicholas (photo, above), this year on Dec. 5, and they have also portrayed The Prodigal Son.

American Girl Doll program

Our girls enjoy St. Paul’s enrichment program using American Girl Doll historical materials, presented in local libraries by Elizabeth Mapp and the Rev. Barbara Bond.
